I had an email from Alastair Reynolds this morning, and he respectfully declined my invitation to attend the Nostalgia for Infinity session at WAC-6, as he will be finishing a book. So I'm disappointed, of course, but can't complain - firstly because he remembered me from previous correspondence (yay!), and because I want him to write more books as quickly as possible.
In 2003 I began work on a research project that has taken me to places that I never imagined: the cultural heritage of space exploration. Now I am determined to bring to light the secrets at the heart of the Space Age.

Hi Colleen, I hadn't seen this before but I love it! I went looking for space postcards in Paris once - found one of an early Ariane 4 launch, and a very rare one of Yuri Gagarin (the French have always had a close relationship with the USSR aerospace-wise).
